a few more Italy pics

we are in a real good mood today. the weather seemed to fit in just right with our positivity. we just visited grandma, and she is chomping at the bit to get active once again. we took her for a stroll around her physical therapy building, and she was loving it. made the day for everyone.
so, with such a great day, i wanted to post good times. here are a few more scenic pics from Italy.

life in an oven

made it to AZ, and i am sitting in a training class. staring down the barrel of a scheduled 4 hours, but there is no way i am going to last that long. its been 20 mins so far, and i am updating my blog. what does that say??

i am already mentally freaking out over having to go outside for lunch. AZ is cursed, i am truly starting to believe that. it is going to be 100 at lunch, with a peak of a nice cool 109. ok, so maybe i am not sweating profusely as expected, but that may have to do with the fact that all my moisture is wicked away from my flesh as quickly as i can produce it. it looks a bit different than i thought. it is definitely desert landscape.. large open fields of dust and rocks. very funny mini mountains are spotted in the most random areas.

i got an email from tonya and kevin stating that it would be great to meet up, but i am leaving tomorrow afternoon. i wish i had more time to hang out. or rather, hang in. i decided against spending time 'out'.

i could teach this thing WAY better than this guy. i can hardly wait to take their clients soon.

Lazy days of summer.

Busy Busy weekend!

Fireworks at the baseball game on Friday. My employer sponsored the game and we had a money give away. I was part of the group trying to get people to sign up. Got to go down on the field. Very cool. My mom and dad came and I hope they had fun.

Saturday, I slept in, went out for ice cream. Went shopping for bargains. Took an afternoon nap. Rented a movie.

Sunday, slept in again. Went to a meeting. Went shopping again. Drove around looking at houses (we like to do that). Got pizza, ate twizzlers and pop tarts.

As you can see, it was busy but fun and relaxing at the same time.

Bad news, my grandma broke her hip. We are hoping to visit her in a week or two. I am worried about her. I think she will be ok, but she is 80 and does have diabetes, so I am cautious. I feel so bad about it, she walks like a million miles a day, and this happened so quickly walking down some stairs. Crazy.

I wish the weekend could last a week. or two. :)
Off to work in the AM. At least I have cute clothes to wear. Although they may not fit because of all the junk I ate this weekend.

Have a great week!

Here are some pictures of my niece Penelope enjoying summer too!!

Welcome to our Pity Party...

How could 10 months feel like 10 years?? I have not quite figured that out.

So here we go, feeling blue again. We both have kinda been in a slump the last few weeks since the Korean Adoption did not work out. As much as I thought it was too good to be true, my heart was still caught up with the prospect of having our baby in just a few months. I had even looked forward to a little boy. John with a son would have been amazing.

Does someone have a voodoo doll of us? and if so could we have it back, please. We are done getting stuck in the heart. We have had enough.

We are both kind of walking around aimlessly, no purpose, no goals. Unmotivated to get any. Too tired to care. Negative, yup! You betcha.

A big thing that troubles me: I am so sad that I cannot have Lucy get to know her great- grandma's, right now. They are such an important part of my life and I see that window of time getting smaller with each year. Just realistic I suppose. I hope they get to meet her, love her and spoil her. (Yes, I have tears in my eyes.)

For all of you that are happy and positive about your wait for your baby, send some of that our way. We need it.
