Sneezing our way through Feb Leap Day

So we have been sorta busy and sorta under the weather. We attended our FCC Waiting Family meeting earlier in the month. It was nice because my mom and dad came. I think they liked to see the other families there. We got Lucy a beautiful dress there. She will look so cute in it someday I am sure.

John has still been working on her room. He was going at it a lot until he got sick. We could not make it through winter without a bad cold, ya know.

I am so excited it is going to be SPRING! We have a fun weekend planned together. Then on March 2nd I officially start my diet. I even wrote it in my black book. Trust me, that means it is a big deal. I am going out with style though. I ate a half a pint of Ben and Jerry's tonight and plan on a big yummy meal out on Saturday. Then that's it!!! I need to be in a bathing suit (gulp) in two months for our cruise. Seriously I have to get down to business. I may even dust off my pilates DVD, since my gym membership ran out. I really mean it this time!!!! ;)

Anyways, no news on the wait. China is a big country so they can pretty much do what they want. We still think this may be the year. I think we need to keep thinking that or we will go crazy. If not crazy then I was thinking maybe London, Iceland and Italy again. We need to get our money worth out of our passport investments and our Hepatitis vaccinations. Which by the way, we have round two on MONDAY!!!!!!!!!! My arm is throbbing already.

Hoping time flies, if we are having fun....

So I am missing my neice Penelope and my lil' sister Jackie out there in Sunny California. Stinks that it was cold and rainy while my mom and I were out there two weeks ago but that is not why we go. We spend time together and it is always so much fun! I am so glad that we get to see each other now and then. We also got to spend a morning at a SPA and had massages, mani's and pedi's. That is always fun. My toes look so cute!J also gave me a ton of clothes that Miss Penny grew out of so that was fun going through those. The Giants won the Superbowl so that was great for my mom. Made for a much smoother red eye flight home. Here are some pictures from my trip.

Poor John was so busy working while I was away that he did not enjoy his time with out me as much as he could have.

We are looking forward to our FCC Waiting Family Meeting this weekend. My mom and Dad are coming hopefully. They will get to hear a little bit about China and meet some adorable adopted kids too.

We are in the process of working on Lucy's room. Our little girl is a world away and we are trying to get her room perfect, spending time on colors and picking out bedding, it is kind of crazy when you think of it that way.

Ok that is it. Just checking in to the blog. By the way no news on Lucy, still waiting.....

Storm of the Century

https://www.chinesechildren.org/Charity/China_StormFund.aspx

Our agency has posted about the horrible winter weather taking place in China right now. It is very possible that our Lucy may be from one of the affected provinces.

They are a legitimate not for profit agency only interested in the well being of the children. They are accepting donations to purchase bottles, blankets, water, food and medicine. I hope that Lucy is being taken care of and is warm right now along with all of the other children in China.
